Things to Consider Before You Order
Rear window decals have a few unique factors that differ from bumper or door applications.
Inside vs Outside Application
Outside is simpler and requires no mirror reversal. Inside protects from UV and scratches but requires careful surface prep and a mirrored print layout.
Defrost Lines
Apply between defrost lines, not over them. Vinyl over heating elements can peel at the edges over time. Leave a 2–3mm margin on each side of the lines.

Tinting Level
Limo tint (5%) or factory privacy glass? Clear vinyl colours may not read well on very dark tint. White vinyl is legible on any tint level.

Should I apply rear window decals inside or outside the glass?‹
Most customers apply outside for easier installation and a true "sticker" look. Inside application protects the print from UV and weather, extending colour life — but it requires cleaning the inside of the glass thoroughly and allows no room for repositioning once placed. Inside-applied decals also need to be designed in mirror image so they read correctly from the outside. We default to outside application; note "inside mount" in your order if you want the reversed layout.
Will a rear window decal interfere with my backup camera?‹
It can if the decal covers the camera lens area. Before ordering, note your camera position (usually centred low or in the licence plate handle) and leave a clear zone of at least 3" around it. We can account for camera cutouts during the proof stage — just mention it in your order comments.
What's the difference between white and clear vinyl for rear windows?‹
White vinyl prints full-colour on a white base — colours are bold and high-contrast, readable even on dark-tinted glass. Clear vinyl prints directly onto the transparent film, so the glass colour shows through unprinted areas, creating a floating graphic effect. Clear vinyl looks best on lightly tinted or untinted windows; on dark tint, lighter ink colours may be hard to read. If you are unsure, white is the safer choice for legibility.
Can rear window decals go through a car wash?‹
Yes, with standard precautions. Touchless and soft-cloth automatic washes are fine after the decal has cured for at least 48 hours post-application. High-pressure wands aimed directly at edges can lift corners over time, so avoid blasting the edges. Exterior-applied decals hold up well in touchless washes for the lifespan of the decal when properly applied.
