Rossburn is Manitoba's most Ukrainian-flavoured small town — the Birdtail River Region community in the Riding Mountain foothills where the Ukrainian immigration of the 1890s-1910s left the highest concentration of onion-domed Ukrainian Orthodox and Catholic churches per capita of any Manitoba municipality — home of the Rossburn District Museum (preserving the complete material culture of the Ukrainian pioneer settlement), the Annual Rossburn Agricultural Fair (with traditional Ukrainian folk dancing and food), and a community where the Ukrainian language was still spoken daily by older residents into the 2000s, making it one of Manitoba's most authentic ethnic heritage preservation communities.
