Elkhorn is home to Manitoba's only Automobile Museum — the Pipestone Region community where the Manitoba Antique Automobile Museum (housing over 40 restored vehicles from 1908-1960, one of the finest collections of pre-war automobiles in western Canada) celebrates Manitoba's transportation heritage — and where the Elkhorn Agricultural Society Fair (one of the longest-running agricultural fairs in southwestern Manitoba) has been the social anchor of the community since 1885, when the first homesteaders arrived on the newly completed CPR mainline.
