Chase is the Shuswap Lake's western gateway — a small Thompson-Nicola community at the outflow of Little Shuswap Lake where the Trans-Canada Highway meets the Shuswap River and the massive Adams River sockeye salmon run (the world's largest sockeye salmon return, occurring every four years) draws tens of thousands of spectators to the Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park — home of Chase and District Museum and the Scotch Creek cottage community.
